Freyja is the charcutier at the butchery “Tuning Fork and Knife”, along with her father, Geir, who is the head butcher and packager.

Despite having a fairly tomboyish attitude and look, Freyja actually strongly dislikes being treated as a boy or being given masculine gifts, feeling offended that her femininity is being ignored.

In stark contrast to this, Freyja greatly enjoys fishing, spending considerable time at Starshimmer Cove and being close friends with both Mirabelle and Claire as a result. She is also frequently depicted with her grandfather's bomber jacket and is quick to talk about his dogfighting exploits, having been raised listening to them. Her father objects strongly to her admiration of her grandfather, but is loath to say more.

Her story involves Cyrus learning from Geir that Freyja's grandfather, Egil, had been a deserter, and the stories he told Freyja growing up were mostly exaggerated or outright fabricated. Once Freyja finds out, she briefly discards the bomber jacket, but upon learning of her grandfather's reason for desertion—that he was ordered to attack an outpost that contained POWs, causing him to ultimately refuse and desert—she gains newfound respect for him and decides that any innocent life is worth saving, refusing to sacrifice them for the greater good. Upon coming to this realization, she can be recruited permanently with the Brawler vibe.

In combat, Freyja moves in close and uses rapid high-damage, high-crit attacks to deal substantial damage to single-target foes. With the right equipment, Freyja is one of the highest single-target damage dealers in the game, although she cannot inflict status ailments or potential one-hit kills like Silvie. As Beatrix puts it, fist weapons are “All Rough, No Scuff”, as they deal extreme damage but cannot be laced with harmful substances, as the wearer is in direct contact with the weapon.
